How to Become A Volunteer
Cupertino Union School District requires all volunteers to be screened and authorized to volunteer in school. Note this process can take up to 4-6 weeks, so please start the process as soon as you can.
Complete the online CUSD Volunteer Information & Technology Agreement
An updated form is required every school year. An approval will be emailed to you as well as sent to the Stocklmeir Office.
Obtain fingerprinting and background check clearance
Fill out a Department of Justice Request for LiveScan Service form and get fingerprinted at the following UPS Store contracted with CUSD: 2884 Homestead Road, Santa Clara, CA 95051. The cost is $32. (Note: VTA Bus 53 stops at the corner of Homestead and Kiely). If you go to another UPS store for fingerprinting, the cost may be higher.
A valid form of ID- California Driver License, State ID, US Passport/Passport Card, or Foreign Passport with a valid visa is required.
As long as your child is in CUSD, you only need to be fingerprinted once.
Provide proof of a negative TB Test or submit a TB Risk Assessment Form signed by a healthcare provider
Results can emailed to aoki_joan@cusdk8.org or delivered in-person to Joan Aoki at the Stocklmeir office. Negative TB test results are valid for four years.
